We are very proud to have been awarded The Outstanding School or College Award by The Careers and Enterprise Company last week at a ceremony in Crawley.
This is what the person who nominated us had to say:
“The Regis School has the full support of a dedicated Enterprise Advisor, Colin Hiscock from Your Environment. The school also has the continued presence of lead Governor Diane Willson at EAN meetings, and the Careers work is backed at senior leadership level with Head Teacher Mike Garlick at the heart of the schools ethos of raising aspirations and providing all students with opportunities to learn about their career opportunities.
Adam Osborne, Assistant Principal is deeply engrained in the Careers Programme delivery within the school. Fully supporting the amazing initiative led by Marie Harding, Head of Careers. The school have a comprehensive Careers Programme and set of timetabled careers related events and activities across all year groups, including enrichment activities and trips outside of school that fully support the meeting of all 8 Careers Benchmarks at 100%.
They have recently introduced Careers Ambassadors across subject areas. A group of Science students recently visited Ardingly’s Big Bang event winning several awards including Crawley Borough Council Prize for Creativity.
I am proud to work with the school who thoroughly deserve this recognition. Congratulations!”
