The TRS Year 7 football team have made an excellent start to the year, by still remaining unbeaten in all competitions. The boys are still in the National Cup, County Cup and have recently won the local league 6-a-side tournament at Felpham.
National Cup;
The Year 7’s beat Hove Park 3-0 on the 19th of November, to move into the last 128 schools in UK.
They have a tough game against Dorothy Stringer (Brighton) away on the 5th of December, which if they win, will place them in the top 64 schools in the country, with the next game being certainly out of county, and looking like London!
County Cup;
The Year 7’s played their County Cup game on the 25th of November, beating a very organised Angmering School 4-1. This moves them into the last 16 in the county. Next round is at home against Peacehaven for a game in the Quarterfinals, arranged for Monday 16th of December.
Local Competitions;
The team have also traveled to Felpham school to play in the local 6-a-side tournament on the 21st of November.
The boys won the tournament, which had 10 other local schools competing, not conceding a goal throughout the tournament and remaining unbeaten!
As a result, the boys will represent West Sussex West after Christmas in a tournament that is based in London!
The boys are working incredibly hard at training, and performing exceptionally well on the pitch!
The future is certainly bright for these boys, watch this space!
