Rock Challenge and Dance House
This has been such a busy month in the Dance Department. Firstly our visit to the Hawth Theatre in Crawley to take part in the national Rock Challenge competition. We had such a great day winning best in show for choreography, drama, set, lighting and of course air guitar winners!
‘What a fabulous evening! The standard overall was very high. Jill and I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt that it was very difficult to ‘rank’ the schools. However, TRS performed brilliantly! They had gone up another notch from last year and it was very obvious that a lot of hard work and effort from the students, together with so many other people, contributed to a fantastic performance. The theme was very thoughtful, challenging and very well executed. I feel sure that we will be making it to Portsmouth Guildhall before long! We were very proud and privileged to be there.

We then stayed local to perform in the annual Dance House event at The Alexandra theatre before showcasing our talents at the Pure dance event with our Year 11 GCSE dancers. We are already looking forward to Easter to have a well-deserved break.

I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to your lovely students who performed on Thursday evening, The Regis always provide interesting and varied work and you certainly did last Thursday.
Your model of having the older students choreograph, teach and mentor the younger students works perfectly and hopefully acts as an inspiration to other schools. As always all your students were impeccably behaved and polite throughout the event.
