The UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) runs Maths Challenges annually which are designed to encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
These challenges are UK-wide, and the top 40% of entrants receive certificates for their scores.

Congratulations to all the above students!
Following the Intermediate Mathematics Challenge Sonny Smith and Elliot Scott-Ragless were selected to participate in further competitions.
Sonny Smith was one of only 8000 students selected to complete the Intermediate Kangaroo. Sonny received a Certificate of Qualification to recognise him as a high achiever, and a keyring to commemorate his achievement. Well done, Sonny!
Elliot Scott-Ragless qualified as one of only 1500 students to complete the Intermediate Mathematical Olympiad. Elliot went on to score so highly that he received a Certificate of Distinction – this is only awarded to the top 25% of entrants. In addition to this, Elliot’s score placed him in the top 100 of all 1500 high performing entrants selected out of the original 260,000. This achievement earned Elliot a medal! Congratulations to Elliot! This is an incredible achievement.
